Introduction to the QRH 
Due to fatal incidents this 'QRH' hook has been designed to answer increasing demand for a quick release device for capsized trapezing boats.
Without impairing performance, weight or trapezing effectiveness, the push button mechanism will help to release a trapped crew.

Push the button on safer trapezing   
The QRH Hook has been developed with safety in mind and in the light of documented fatalities. Suitable for any trapezing boat, this hook greatly reduces the risk of being trapped when capsizing and could easily become the "norm" on many harnesses 
This design has been rigorously tested for over three years by experts, racers and sailing beginners. "It is our opinion that Race officers could before long insist on some form of emergency quick release before accepting race entries". 
 All parts of the new QRH system are constructed in polished stainless steel and glass filled nylon. It has been styled to look good and includes a ramp lead in for the trapeze ring, and 'flush out' channels to clear debris. The red button is clearly marked RELEASE and easy to operate.

Release-on the button   
Hook choice can be either the standard model made of stainless steel with rubber retainer or, with the 'platypuss nose' to reduce deck damage. The alternative is a 'grab handle' that replaces trapeze rings at the end of the support wire, locates directly into QRH body. 
In use, the standard hook is exactly as existing fixed versions and as fast, but with the plastic nose option, the operation takes a moment longer to get the ring over the nose. The grab handle fits directly into the QRH body and therefore relies on the button release for every tack, taking a few more seconds to operate but it does however then release leaving a smooth surface and almost eliminating deck damage and snarl ups in rigging.
